Can you imagine being in the disciples sandals? First, seeing over 5000 people fed with one boy’s small lunch. Then, while their minds were reeling from that event, they saw two more things that were as equally amazing. First, they saw Jesus walking on water, coming out towards them. Of course they thought it was a ghost, NOBODY can walk on water! Yet it wasn’t a ghost, but their teacher, Jesus.
But that wasn’t the end of the unbelievable things they experienced that night. As Jesus got into the boat with them, the wind stopped blowing. Their minds were trying to process the amazing feast earlier that day, and now they had to try to comprehend two more experiences almost impossible to wrap their minds around.
Who is this Jesus? He controls the physical, the created. He has power to create from nothing, to defy the laws of gravity and fluid dynamics, and controls nature without even a word. He has power over creation because He is the Creator of the universe!
