We see Paul’s great love and concern for the Galatians in this passage, reminding them the basis of their faith. Our memories are short sometimes, we over look our past, we forget those important truths, we fail to remember how it is we exactly came to faith.
Paul outlines it in a series of questions. Was it by faith you received the Spirit, or by your works? Was it by your ability, or the Spirit that you believed, grew, and even suffered?
Our relationship with Christ is due to faith, given, grown, and perfected by the Spirit, not because of anything we do or who we are. This faith, this belief and trust in Jesus, is why we are blessed. To think otherwise, according to God through the Apostle Paul, is simply foolishness.
