“Concerning that day (Christ’s second coming) no one knows the day or time.” Yet there are many who continually try to say that Christ is coming on this day or that day, and they have all been wrong in the past, and they will be wrong in the future – including the latest date of 5/21/2011 that was on many billboards throughout the country this past few months. They claim to know the date, a date supposedly derived from the Bible.
Yet there’s a problem with that – God’s word specifically states that no one knows the date and time. He is purposely keeping it secret so that people live their lives in anticipation for the event that could come before I finish writing this sentence. We are to be prepared, living our lives as if He is coming tomorrow every day. Trusting fully in Him and sharing His love with others.
5/21/2011 will come and go as every other date. Some will use it as a reason not to trust Christians. Don’t fall for specific dates that Christ will come – even if (or especially if) it’s from me!!
