These passages contain four more “Kingdom of Heaven” parables. These parables are shorter, and with shorter parables it is sometimes easy to over interpret these stories, adding something to them that is not really there or is not intended to be included. The first set focuses on the same point: even though the Kingdom of Heaven has come through Jesus Christ and is very small, it will spread and become great, reaching through the whole world.
The second set of parables focuses on how valuable the Kingdom of Heaven is. It is priceless, even if we could buy it, selling all our possessions and spending all our money, it would still be worth more than we could pay. It is the most important thing we could possibly possess. This Kingdom these are talking about is our faith, that gift God has given to us to believe and trust in Jesus Christ. This faith is the most important thing in our lives. Protect it. Feed it. Treat it as the valuable gift that it truly is!
